The Comicer's Privacy Policy

Introduction

By using our application, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The information we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Cloud storage services and remote files

The app allows you to connect to different cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox.

We do not collect any information relating to the data to which you give access to the application, nor do we collect the authentication information giving you access to your data. This information remains in the app and is used only to access your data in the app.

The application only accesses remote files located in the folder you configured, as well as its subfolders. In order to build your library, the application lists and indexes files which are supported by the application (Comic archives).

Information Collection and Use

With the aforementioned services we anonymously collect the following data:

Crashlytics(c) (by Google Firebase) captures app errors and provides anonymized data about the error, including technical data (e.g. stack trace) and personal data (e.g. the geological location of the app (region level), and device attributes (e.g. OS version, device type).
Usage statistics collected by Google Analytics, including usage metrics (e.g. app settings, app usage). Usage data is anonymized. The collection, storage and processing of this information is covered by the terms of Google Analytics.

These providers are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

By using the app you also accept that usage statistics are collected about the name and issue number of the opened comics. This data is depersonalized. Data transfer uses a secure connection and altogether complies GDPR and Google Play Store policies. This data is collected for statistical reasons as a legitimate interest of the application publisher.

Security

We value your trust in providing us with your information and use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

Anonymized and Aggregated Data: Anonymized crash reports, usage statistics, and comic reading data are not linked to any personal identifiers and cannot be individually deleted. This data is retained indefinitely in aggregate form to help us understand long-term usage patterns and improve the app.
Cloud Access Credentials: Your cloud service access credentials are stored securely within the app for as long as you maintain the connection. You can revoke access at any time through the app's settings. Upon disconnection, your credentials are immediately deleted from the app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately upon posting.

The app's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
